An Oriental style polychrome ceramic table lamp with a matching lid and wooden base and a pair of modern table lamps. The oriental style lamp features a baluster-form ceramic body decorated with polychrome enamel depictions of pink peonies and clusters of purple grapes amidst green foliage. The pattern is set against a pale pink and white ground with vertical decorative bands. It is topped with a matching domed ceramic lid and mounted on a dark-stained wooden stand. The electrical fitting consists of a brass-finished bayonet-cap socket and a white wire shade harp. The lamp is wired with a brown and white cord and a standard UK white three-pin plug. No manufacturer marks are visible on the ceramic or wooden components. This lot is sold as untested; rewiring is recommended for modern safety standards.
Condition report:
The lamp is in excellent decorative condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant losses to the enamel decoration. The wooden base shows minor surface scuffing (photo 1).
