A Lladró glazed porcelain figurine with its original presentation case. The piece, titled Over the Clouds (Spanish title: Mi Primer Vuelo), depicts a young boy pilot navigating a stylised blue propeller aeroplane through three billowy white clouds. The pilot is intricately detailed, wearing a brown flight jacket with a cream-coloured fleece collar, a grey aviator’s cap, and goggles pushed onto his forehead. Three small brown and white birds are perched on the aircraft: one on each wingtip and one on the tail fin. The underside of the figurine’s base bears a blue printed backstamp featuring a flower or bell logo above the name LLADRÓ, followed by HAND MADE IN SPAIN and a copyright date of DAISA 1989. The model number 5697 is clearly incised into the porcelain, alongside the characters E-15 U and other impressed symbols. Two circular white adhesive labels are also present on the base, one reading 220 over 03 and the other 811 over 03. The lot is accompanied by its original cardboard presentation box, which carries a factory label identifying the piece as 010.05697 MI PRIMER VUELO / OVER THE CLOUDS and features a UPC barcode.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restoration. Delicate protruding elements, specifically the propeller blades and the three perched birds, remain fully intact (photo 2). The pilot\'s hands and goggles are also free from damage. The glazed surface is clean and shows no signs of crazing. The included presentation box displays minor shelf wear and a handwritten numeral 3 on the product label (photo 5).
