A Lladro glazed porcelain figurine titled Dog’s Best Friends, numbered 5688. This polychrome glazed piece depicts a young girl with brown hair, featuring a white flower and blue ribbon accessory, kneeling on a light brown base to tuck in a sleeping basset hound with a pale green blanket. The girl is dressed in a white long-sleeved blouse with pink floral trim at the cuffs and collar, paired with a long blue skirt. The underside of the base features an underglaze blue factory mark consisting of a stylised tulip logo above the word ‘LLADRÓ’, followed by ‘HAND MADE IN SPAIN’ and ‘© DAISA 1989’. Impressed marks ‘A-28 O’ and an indistinct geometric symbol are also visible, alongside a small white sticker printed with the number ‘035’. The lot is contained within its original cardboard presentation box, which features a label printed with ‘LLADRÓ’, ‘05688’, ‘ABRIGANDO AL PERRO’, ‘DOG’S BEST FRIENDS’ and a barcode.
Condition report:
The figurine appears to be in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or professional repairs. The delicate applied flower detail in the girl\'s hair remains intact (photo 1). The unglazed rim of the base shows minor signs of shelf wear and light surface dirt (photo 5). The original presentation box shows typical signs of age-related shelf wear, including minor scuffing to the edges and a small tear on the corner of the identification label (photo 6).
