A Lladro Big Sister glazed porcelain figurine with original presentation box. This lot comprises a single polychrome porcelain figurine group depicting a young girl seated on a striped Victorian style settee, reading from an open book to a toddler and a small dog. The piece is finished in characteristic muted pastel tones of blue, cream, and grey with a high-gloss glaze. The girl wears a white dress and sits beside a lavender cushion decorated with floral patterns, while the toddler is dressed in pale blue pyjamas. The dog is positioned against the arm of the sofa. To the underside, the base features a blue printed factory mark consisting of a bell flower logo above the word LLADRÓ and the phrase HAND MADE IN SPAIN. The model number 5735 is incised into the porcelain. Two small white adhesive inventory stickers are also present, bearing the numbers 204 and 709. The accompanying original cardboard presentation box features a side label reading 05735, LECTURA INFANTIL, and BIG SISTER.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or professional restorations to the porcelain (photos 1, 2, 4). The delicate elements, including the pages of the open book and the floral details on the side cushion, appear entirely intact (photo 5). The base is clean with clear markings and no signs of wear (photo 6). The original cardboard box is present and shows light signs of storage wear to the edges and surfaces (photo 7).
