A collection of vintage 20th-century collectables and ephemera including a Winifred Atwell photograph and Kodak camera. The lot features a framed black and white photograph signed Winifred Atwell in the lower left corner and a commemorative Paris Match magazine, No. 825, dated 30 Janvier 1965, titled Hommage a un Geant Churchill. A Kodak Six-20 Brownie box camera is included alongside a cased drafting instrument set containing various nickel-plated compasses and ruling pens in a blue velvet-lined case. Further items include a red lithographed Harrison’s Toffee tin with the slogan Take the Home Sweet Home, a pack of 10 Gallaher’s Park Drive cigarettes, and a group of bamboo-style metal handled tools. The collection is supplemented by books by Charles Dickens and C.H. Spurgeon, heavy cast-iron weights with attached rope, and a Union Jack pennant marked LOOK O. This lot comprises the collectables only; the blue metal shelving unit shown in the images is not included.
Condition report:
The paper items, including the photograph and magazine, show visible foxing, creasing, and edge wear (photo 1 and 2). The Harrison\'s Toffee tin exhibits surface scratches and significant paint loss (photo 1). The cast-iron weights show surface oxidation (photo 1). The book spines demonstrate significant rubbing, wear, and fading to the cloth or paper boards (photo 1). The Kodak camera shows general age-related surface wear to the casing (photo 1).
