A collection of glass elephant figurines presented within an octagonal brass framed display case. This assortment comprises figures in various poses, including standing and sitting with trunks raised, primarily crafted from clear lamp-worked and blown glass. Numerous pieces feature decorative accents such as gold-coloured highlights to the trunks, ears, and tusks, while others incorporate blue glass elements for the eyes and bodies. The group includes figures exhibiting a textured spun glass finish and Disney style Dumbo characters with oversized ears. One figurine on the top shelf bears a circular gold foil adhesive label reading HAND MADE 24KT GOLD PAINTED. The display case is constructed with a brass toned metal frame, glass panels, and a mirrored back, containing three interior glass shelves above a base level.
Condition report:
One elephant figure on the bottom shelf towards the front right appears to have a broken trunk (photo 2). The brass frame of the display case shows minor surface tarnishing and the glass panels exhibit some dust and finger smudging consistent with age (photo 1).
