A collection of vintage style decorative glass perfume bottles comprising various forms and glassworking techniques. The assortment includes a pear-shaped opaque white glass bottle featuring a vertical brown feathered pattern, fitted with a gold-tone atomizer and a black fabric-covered cord and bulb. Also included is a wide, flattened iridescent pink glass bottle with a tall slender stopper and a cobalt blue glass bottle with white mottling, featuring a clear glass hummingbird-shaped stopper. This blue bottle bears a white adhesive label reading L 8 3 3 C. The group further includes a blue glass bottle with controlled internal air bubbles, known as a bullicante style, featuring a faceted clear glass stopper, and a deep blue pressed glass bottle in the Art Deco style with a wide figural stopper depicting two figures. Other vessels in the lot include a frosted white marbled glass bottle, a smoked grey glass bottle with a black disc neck, a dark mottled spherical atomizer, and several small spherical bottles in red glass and green and red swirled glass. The vessels are constructed from blown and moulded glass with metal and fabric components for the atomizer-fitted examples. Most bottles appear to be empty, though a small amount of dark liquid residue is visible in the smoked glass example.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in generally good decorative condition. The black fabric-covered atomizer bulb on the tall feathered bottle appears flattened and shows signs of age-related wear (photo 2). There is a light accumulation of dust across the surfaces of the glass. No significant chips, cracks, or restorations are visible to the glass bodies or stoppers from the provided images.
