A collection of miniature lampwork glass elephant figurines in various styles and colours. The lot comprises approximately sixty figures hand-crafted from glass in a broad palette including cobalt blue, emerald green, amber, turquoise, opaque white, and clear glass. The elephants are depicted in diverse poses with applied glass features such as ears and tusks, notably seen on the green elephants with yellow ears. Decorative techniques utilized throughout the collection include internal colour trails and millefiori-style inclusions visible on one larger dark-bodied figure. The pieces show stylised forms with either polished flat or rounded bases. No maker’s marks, signatures, or factory stamps are legible on the glass pieces.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good condition overall across the provided images. One clear elephant with green-ribbed ears shows minor surface irregularities consistent with the hand-working process (photo 3). While the fragile lampwork trunks, tusks, and tails appear largely intact, minor losses or nicks common to glass miniatures of this type may be present within such a large group (photos 1-5). No major structural breaks or repairs are evident.
