A collection of assorted costume jewellery and fashion accessories comprising a diverse range of materials and styles. The lot includes items constructed from base metals in silver and gold tones, acrylic, glass, wood, and natural cowrie shell. Notable pieces feature a multi-strand cowrie shell necklace, various faceted beaded necklaces in amber and black tones, and multiple silver-tone curb and cable link chains. The assortment also incorporates fashion and novelty items, such as pink fabric floral corsages, a small red plush bear, a green scale-textured flexible necklace, and a gold-tone pendant in the form of a piano. One item remains attached to a retail backing card printed with ‘Magnetic Clasp for Necklaces or Bracelets’, and a small sealed packet contains red-and-white striped beads. A heart-shaped pendant with floral decoration and a carved wooden animal pendant are also included. No specific designer or maker’s marks are legible on the individual pieces.
Condition report:
The items are stored loose in a cardboard box and exhibit significant tangling throughout the lot (photo 1). Prospective bidders should expect varying degrees of surface wear, minor oxidation, and tarnishing to the base metal components consistent with a bulk estate lot (photo 3). Some items remain in their original plastic packaging (photo 2).
