Lot 331: A Pair of Binoculars with Two Carrying Cases

This auction ended on September 2, 2026.

Start price: £8

Estimated price: £8 - £20

Buyer's Premium: 20%

Sold for: £7

This lot comprises a pair of binoculars accompanied by two carrying cases. The binoculars feature a black textured body with white printed text on the barrels, though the characters are not sufficiently legible to identify a maker or model. The instruments appear to be of a standard porro prism construction. Included is a traditional hard-sided carrying case with a black textured synthetic exterior, a red-lined interior, and a silver-tone metal flip-lock clasp, fitted with a black shoulder strap. The second container is a modern black padded fabric bag with a fold-over flap, a plastic clip fastening, and an adjustable black woven nylon shoulder strap.

Condition report:

The hard-sided case shows minor external scuffing and surface wear (photo 1). The padded fabric bag appears in good used condition (photo 2). The binoculars are only partially visible, though the eyepieces appear to be intact (photo 1); the mechanical functionality of the focusing mechanism and the optical clarity of the lenses have not been tested.
