A collection of assorted costume jewellery including a Howson London presentation box, contained within a red plastic storage crate. The lot comprises a diverse range of items constructed from materials including gold and silver tone base metals, glass, plastic, and acrylic beads, faux pearls, and corded elements. Construction methods vary from traditional strung beaded necklaces and elasticated bracelets to modern metallic bangles and woven bands.
The assortment includes multi-coloured beaded necklaces in bohemian styles, multiple gold-tone hoop bangles, and faceted glass beads in various hues including purple, green, and red. A wide textured metallic woven band is also visible among the tangle of pieces. The lot features a black card presentation box bearing the printed mark Howson London in white text to the lid. No further maker’s marks or signatures were identified upon visual inspection of the unsorted contents.
Condition report:
The collection is offered in an unsorted and heavily tangled state (photo 1). Given the bulk nature of the lot, individual pieces may exhibit signs of wear consistent with age, including broken clasps, missing stones, or loose beads (photos 2 and 3). The items have not been individually tested or inspected for functionality. The red plastic storage crate shows surface scuffing consistent with use.
