A group of audio equipment comprising two pairs of Sony speakers and a Pioneer digital timer. The Pioneer model DT-500 audio digital timer is a Japanese manufactured unit featuring a silver-fronted chassis with controls for timer set, clock adjustment, and a sleep function, fitted with a three-pin power plug. An adhesive label to the rear reads AUDIO DIGITAL TIMER MODEL DT-500 a.c. 240 Volts 50Hz 6 Watts PIONEER ELECTRONIC CORP. MADE IN JAPAN, accompanied by a white sticker reading 503343 U. The larger pair of speakers are Sony model APM-22ES, featuring woodgrain-finished cabinets and square flat-diaphragm Accurate Pistonic Motion drivers. These carry rear labels reading SONY MODEL NO. APM-22ES SPEAKER SYSTEM IMPEDANCE: 6 Ohm POWER HANDLING CAPACITY: NOMINAL 80W DIN MUSIC 160W DIN SERIAL NO. 506410 MADE IN W. GERMANY. The smaller pair of speakers are Sony model APM-101 ES units with black woodgrain-effect cabinets. These carry rear labels reading SONY MODEL NO. APM-101 ES SPEAKER SYSTEM IMPEDANCE: 8 Ohm POWER HANDLING CAPACITY: NOMINAL 50 W DIN MUSIC 100 W DIN SERIAL NO. 6017120 and 6017119, MADE IN U.K. This lot comprises the electronic equipment only; the furniture and ladders visible in the background are not included.


Condition report:

The Pioneer DT-500 timer shows general surface dust and minor wear to the chassis (photo 2). The Sony APM-22ES speakers show minor surface marks and dust to the woodgrain cabinets (photo 6). The square flat-diaphragm drivers appear intact on the APM-22ES units (photo 7). The Sony APM-101 ES speakers exhibit significant damage to the woofer units, where the foam surrounds have completely perished, leaving the central square diaphragms detached from the frames (photo 11 and 12). The black woodgrain finish on these units shows minor edge wear and dust (photo 10). All speaker grilles are present but show some accumulation of dust and minor pulling to the fabric (photo 1). All units are sold as untested for electrical functionality.
