This lot comprises an adjustable female dressmaker’s mannequin featuring a grey fabric-covered torso mounted on a black plastic four-legged stand. The mannequin is designed for garment construction and fitting, incorporating multiple adjustment dials at the neck, bust, waist, and hips to modify the form’s proportions. The torso is constructed with a pinnable fabric covering over a segmented plastic frame. The top adjustment dial at the neck is molded with the text PUSH DOWN and an accompanying arrow. No manufacturer’s branding, labels, or maker’s marks are visible on the exterior components. This lot comprises the mannequin and stand only; the background items including furniture, ceramics, and artwork shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The mannequin is loose and exhibits signs of previous use. There are visible surface marks and light staining to the grey fabric covering, particularly across the upper chest and shoulder areas (photo 1). The adjustment dials appear intact and are functional within their visible range, though their full mechanical extent has not been tested (photos 1 and 2). The black plastic base is present and remains stable (photo 5).
