This lot comprises a three piece suite of contemporary upholstered damask pattern furniture including a two-seater cuddle armchair, single armchair and a storage ottoman. The suite is upholstered in a textured damask-weave fabric featuring a large-scale floral and scroll design in tones of taupe and charcoal grey. Each piece is supported by dark-stained tapered wooden block feet. The oversized cuddle style armchair and armchair feature high flared scroll arms with removable arm protectors and deep-boxed cushions with piped edges. The armchairs are accompanied by a matching cylindrical bolster cushion, and the suite includes three matching scatter cushions featuring a broad charcoal grey vertical stripe on a taupe ground. The rectangular storage ottoman is fitted with a hinged lid and dual gas-strut stays, opening to reveal a white-lined interior compartment containing additional fabric remnants. No manufacturer labels, brand tags, or maker’s marks are visible on the pieces.
Condition report:
The furniture suite is in good used condition overall. The upholstery appears clean with no significant tears, heavy staining, or major wear visible in the photographs. The removable arm protectors have preserved the fabric of the armrests (photo 6). There are minor scuffs and light surface abrasions to the wooden feet consistent with standard domestic use and handling (photo 1). The internal compartment of the storage ottoman is clean and the gas-strut mechanism appears functional (photo 5).
