A Saisho compact disc stereo midi system and a pair of matching speakers. The integrated audio unit is housed in a black plastic midi-sized cabinet featuring a top-mounted belt-drive turntable with selectable 33 rpm and 45 rpm speeds, protected by a clear acrylic dust cover. The front panel incorporates a three-band analogue radio tuner for FM, MW, and LW frequencies, indicated on a horizontal dial. A programmable compact disc player is included, featuring an LCD digital display and controls for program, repeat, skip, play/pause, and stop. The central control section provides a three-band graphic equaliser with sliders for 100Hz, 1kHz, and 10kHz, alongside balance and volume sliders. Below the equaliser is a dual cassette deck with automatic level control, featuring synchro dubbing on deck A and continuous play on deck B. The two matching speakers are 2-way systems in black cabinets with front fabric grilles. The main unit is marked with a printed gold-tone saisho logo and identifies the model as COMPACT DISC STEREO MIDI SYSTEM CDM 600. The speakers are marked with saisho logos and the text 2 WAY SPEAKER SYSTEM at the base.
Condition report:
The system is sold in an untested condition. Visually, the unit exhibits a build-up of surface dust throughout, with some debris visible within the tracks of the graphic equaliser sliders (photo 7). A notable scratch is present on the front left edge of the clear acrylic turntable cover (photo 5). There are minor scuffs and surface wear consistent with age and use visible on the plastic edges of the main housing (photo 1). The speaker grilles appear intact but are dusty (photo 3).
