An assortment of vintage personal accessories and navigational tools including four lighters altogether, two compasses, a metal whistle, and a ballpoint pen. The collection features a silver-toned lighter with a starburst engraving, marked to the base JAPAN, and contained within a black presentation case marked PENGUIN and HIGH QUALITY LIGHTER. A gold-toned slim lighter bears the name RONSON to the top cap, and a bronze-toned textured lighter is marked COLIBRI on the thumb lever. A silver-toned textured rectangular lighter is also included. The lot further comprises a brass style military compass with a flip-up lid, a silver-toned pocket compass with a dial reading GERMANY, a metal pea whistle, and a slim black and silver-toned push-button ballpoint pen.
Condition report:
The brass style compass shows heavy tarnishing to the exterior surfaces (photo 2). Significant adhesive residue is visible on one face of the gold-toned Ronson lighter (photo 9). The bronze-toned Colibri lighter exhibits surface pitting and corrosion (photo 7). Light surface wear and fine scratches are present on the silver-toned starburst lighter and its presentation box (photo 11, 12). All items in this lot are untested for functionality.
