A collection of contemporary and late 20th century costume jewellery, featuring a variety of wristwear and necklaces presented in a decorated cardboard box. The lot includes several wide multi-tone braided metal bangles in silver, gold, and copper tones, alongside a prominent wide cuff bracelet decorated with a central floral motif in iridescent orange and gold glitter. Also present is a large multi-wire gold-tone neck torque or collar necklace and a multi-strand faux pearl bracelet with a white lustre finish. The assortment further contains beaded bracelets in blue, white, and turquoise tones, a pink enamel flamingo brooch, and a pair of cufflinks set with dark green cabochons, possibly glass or nephrite jade, housed in a small plastic container. Several thin silver-tone wire bangles and a black enameled piece with floral patterns complete the group. The box bears a printed white adhesive label reading 446 and a smaller handwritten label reading L 8392. No further maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the individual items.
Condition report:
The lot is offered in as found, unsearched condition with the items stored together, exhibiting some tangling (photo 1). Surface wear and minor tarnishing are visible on the metal components (photo 2). The faux pearls show evidence of potential surface scuffing consistent with bulk storage (photo 3). The pink flamingo brooch appears intact (photo 3). The cufflinks remain in their plastic packaging (photo 4). No other significant damage is visible.
