Buyer's Premium: 20%

Sold for: £14

A collection of vintage and contemporary costume jewellery comprising a diverse variety of necklaces, brooches, chains, and earrings. The lot features items fashioned from gold-tone and silver-tone base metals, faux pearls, and molded plastic or resin beads, some of which are designed in imitation of amber and variegated hardstones. Notable components include a heavy silver-tone bib necklace with a decorative fringe and toggle clasp, two rigid gold-tone collar necklaces including one featuring snake-head terminals, and multiple strands of faux pearls. A quantity of gold-tone and silver-tone chains in various styles, including curb and snake links, are housed in a purple box alongside large geometric resin pendants in deep red and purple tones. The assortment is completed by a selection of vintage rhinestone brooches, including a floral spray set with green and aurora borealis stones, and a small box containing miscellaneous stud and clip-on earrings, charms, and pins. No maker’s marks or designer signatures are clearly legible on the pieces within the collection.

Condition report:

The collection exhibits varying degrees of wear typical for mixed jewellery lots. Surface tarnishing and wear to the plating are visible on several metal components, particularly among the loose chains (photo 3). A number of chains are currently tangled within the storage box (photo 3). The rhinestone brooches appear largely complete, though some individual stones show signs of surface dulling or minor wear (photo 4). Faux pearl coatings display occasional minor surface scuffing and loss of lustre (photo 4). The items are sold as seen.
