A collection of vintage and contemporary costume jewellery including examples by George. The assortment comprises a large quantity of earrings in gold-tone and silver-tone base metals, featuring clear and coloured rhinestones, faceted glass beads, faux pearls, and moulded resin components. The items exhibit various designs including floral motifs, geometric enamel work, and filigree detailing. Fastenings include pierced posts, hoops, clip-ons, and vintage style screw-back mechanisms. One pair of faux pearl studs is presented on a white card printed with Accessories by George. and a price of £4. A black plastic jewellery case bears a circular gold-tone logo reading GRALO. A white paper tag is attached to one item, printed obrook and co 456 Plymouth. The collection is housed within a clear plastic organiser with eighteen compartments.
Condition report:
The collection is in varied used condition. A large number of items are tangled within the organizer compartments (photo 1). Surface tarnishing is visible on several of the metal components throughout the lot (photo 4). General surface wear, light dust, and minor scratches are present across the assortment. Due to the bulk nature of the lot, individual pieces may be missing matching partners or have lost stones (photo 5). The plastic organiser tray exhibits minor external scuffing (photo 1).
