A collection of wicker storage and utility baskets including a serving tray. The lot comprises a variety of woven items, likely constructed from willow or cane. Included is a large globular storage basket featuring horizontal weaving, a rectangular serving tray with integral handles, and a round dark-stained basket with vertical ribbing. The assortment also contains a traditional shopping or gathering basket with a high arched handle and several smaller nesting baskets, one of which includes a clear plastic liner. A white adhesive label on the dark-stained basket is printed with the numerals 461. A white paper tag attached to the tray is hand-inscribed with N449c. No manufacturer marks, signatures, or backstamps are visible on any of the items.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition with signs of age and wear. The large globular basket exhibits notable damage to the upper rim, with multiple broken and protruding wicker strands visible (photo 1 and photo 3). The other baskets show general minor fraying to the weaving and occasional loose ends consistent with utility items of this type (photo 2 and photo 4). Surfaces show light dust and minor debris from storage (photo 1).
