A collection of four David Winter hand-painted miniature architectural sculptures including Squires Hall and Brookside Hamlet. These models were produced in the studios and workshops of John Hine Ltd. in Hampshire, Great Britain, and are crafted from refined gypsum with individually hand-painted detailing. The lot comprises Brookside Hamlet, a cluster of stone-walled cottages with a working waterwheel, featuring a white adhesive base label reading Brookside Hamlet TM by David Winter TM © 1982 David Winter and a crown over a double-key logo dated 1982. Also included is Derbyshire Mill from The Midlands Collection, featuring a tall cylindrical brick chimney and arched foundation, with a label reading The Midlands Collection Derbyshire Mill TM by David Winter TM © 1987 David Winter and a logo dated 1988. Tamar Cottage from The West Country Collection is a stone building with red floral accents, bearing a base label reading The West Country Collection Tamar Cottage TM by David Winter TM © 1986 David Winter and a handwritten signature in brown ink reading David Winter to the felt underside. Squires Hall is a complex half-timbered Tudor style manor house with a base label reading Squires Hall TM by David Winter TM © 1985 David Winter and a logo dated 1981. This collection is accompanied by four original illustrated David Winter Cottages boxes.


Condition report:

The collection is in good condition, retaining sharp detail and vibrant original paintwork throughout. Brookside Hamlet shows minor surface dust in the recesses (photo 1). Derbyshire Mill displays light dust build-up around the chimney and arched bridge (photo 3). Tamar Cottage shows minimal surface wear (photo 6). Squires Hall displays some accumulated dust within the gables and eaves (photo 8). The original cardboard boxes show light shelf wear and minor creasing to the edges.
