A collection of decorative ceramic and mixed material household items including a hand painted table lamp base. The primary item is a large globular glazed ceramic lamp base featuring a cream ground decorated with stylised red and orange flowers and green leaves. The neck of the base is detailed with a band of vertically incised ribbed texture. The lamp is fitted with a white plastic B22 bayonet bulb holder and a white twin-core electrical cord terminating in a white UK three-pin plug. The lot also includes a Staffordshire style ceramic spill vase figurine depicting a boy in a blue jacket standing beside a cow. Further items include an oval ceramic platter with an Imari style floral border, a ceramic water jug with pink and purple floral transfer decoration, and a novelty clock with a white dial and coloured pencil hour markers. A tapered metal jug with a light blue floral pattern is included. The assortment is completed by a large circular turned wood vessel painted purple and orange, and a group of hand-painted wooden tulips. This lot comprises the decorative items only; the television, furniture, and other background items shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The ceramic lamp base appears in good structural condition with no major chips or cracks visible in the overview (photo 1). The electrical components are aged and show minor surface dust; as with all auction lighting, the lamp is sold as untested and must be PAT tested or rewired by a qualified professional before use. The Staffordshire style figurine shows minor surface wear (photo 2). The metal jug exhibits typical minor oxidation along the seams (photo 4). The wooden tulips and turned vessel show minor scuffs consistent with domestic use (photo 5).
