A Victorian style solid pine storage cupboard of rectangular form, constructed with solid pine components throughout. The piece features a flat top surface with a shallow rear gallery above a pair of twin-panelled doors. These doors are equipped with turned wooden knobs and simple brass butt hinges, opening to reveal an interior fitted with two fixed vertical partitions that create three storage compartments. Modern magnetic catches have been added to the interior frame to assist with door closure. The cupboard is finished with a simple plinth base and features a planked tongue-and-groove back. The wood displays a natural warm-toned finish with characteristic knots. This lot comprises the cupboard only; the surrounding furniture and items visible in the photographs are not included.
Condition report:
Several surface scratches and scuff marks are visible across the top surface (photo 2). A dark stain is present on the middle interior shelf (photo 4). The frame and door edges exhibit various small nicks and indentations consistent with use (photo 1 and 3). There is evidence of natural wood movement and minor separation between the rear planks (photo 6). No structural failures are visible.
