This contemporary Eames style high back ribbed black office chair is upholstered in black faux-leather with horizontal channel stitching. The chair is constructed with a chrome-plated metal frame featuring integrated L-shaped armrests and a tubular support bar to the reverse. It is supported by a five-star polished metal base with five black plastic castors. Functional features include a 360-degree swivel mechanism and a gas-lift for height adjustment, operated by a lever on the underside of the seat. No manufacturer’s marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the upholstery, frame, or mechanism. This lot comprises the chair only; the framed pictures and other interior items shown in the background are not included.
Condition report:
The chair shows signs of age and significant use. There is widespread pitting, oxidation, and surface corrosion on the chrome-plated components, particularly noticeable on the armrests (photo 2) and the base (photo 5). The black faux-leather upholstery remains generally intact with no visible tears or holes, though it exhibits surface dust and light wear (photo 1). The swivel and gas-lift mechanisms appear to be functional, although they have not been tested under load (photo 6).
