An Art Deco style frameless bevelled glass wall mirror. The mirror plate is constructed in a barrel-shaped silhouette featuring convex upper and lower edges and polished bevelled borders. It is designed for wall mounting via small metal retaining clips, which are visible at the margins. The piece reflects mid-century minimalist design through its geometric form and lack of a traditional frame. No manufacturer marks, retailer labels, or signatures are legible on the mirror or the visible sections of the wooden supports. This lot comprises the mirror only; the ladder, textiles, and various workshop items visible in the reflection and background are not included.
Condition report:
The mirror plate shows significant foxing and silvering loss, which is most heavily concentrated along the lower horizontal edge (photo 1). Visible oxidation spots and darkening are present around the perimeter (photo 1). There are minor flea bites and edge wear consistent with age and use, and the surface requires cleaning (photo 1).
