Sold

A set of three mid-20th century Eunice P. Jackson oil on board maritime paintings depicting local topography in a naive style. The trio includes scenes identified on the reverse as Oreston Quay and Radford Lake, the latter dated circa 1936, alongside a third street scene featuring a building marked Kings Arms. The works are executed in oil on board or canvas board, characterised by flat perspectives and a bright, clear colour palette. Each piece is signed by the artist E. P. JACKSON. in black capital letters to the lower left or upper right corners. The paintings are housed in glazed wooden frames with card mounts.

Condition report:

The frames exhibit minor surface wear and scuffs to the wood (photo 1). There is visible undulation and slight warping to the board of the Oreston Quay harbour scene (photo 6). The painting featuring the Kings Arms building is currently mounted upside down within its frame (photo 2). The works appear stable with no visible signs of foxing or water damage.
