Start price: £5

Estimated price: £5 - £10

Buyer's Premium: 20%

A pair of two digital print reproductions of the 1633 work ‘The Storm on the Sea of Galilee’ by Rembrandt. The primary item consists of a large-scale digital print on fine-weave white canvas, which is gallery-wrapped over a contemporary wooden stretcher frame and secured with industrial metal staples to the reverse. The second item is a smaller print on paper, mounted to a white backing board and presented within a clear protective sleeve. Both reproductions depict the biblical scene of a ship tossed by turbulent waves under a dark, stormy sky. A small white adhesive label is attached to the front lower-left corner of the large canvas, bearing the hand-written characters ‘SSSP’. No maker’s marks, signatures, or inscriptions are visible on the reverse of the primary canvas or the wooden stretcher bars.

Condition report:

No visible faults or surface losses are apparent on either reproduction (photo 1). The large canvas is tightly stretched over the wooden bars with no signs of sagging or tears (photo 2).
