The Doultonville series figures carry printed backstamps to the underside including a green lion and crown device above The Doultonville Collection, Royal Doulton, and specific character titles with model numbers. Identifiable characters in this lot include Miss Studious the Schoolmistress (D 6722), Mrs Loan the Librarian (D 6715), Mr Brisket the Butcher (D 6711), Miss Nightingale the Nurse (D 6716), Madame Crystal the Fortune Teller (D 6714), and Betty Bitters the Barmaid (D 6716). The Winston Churchill jug features a printed black backstamp with a lion and crown crest above WINSTON CHURCHILL. The collection further includes a gentleman in a red tricorne hat, a man in a purple coat, and a lady in a red dress with a black hat.

Approximately 3 to 4 inches (7.5 to 10 cm) in height.

Condition report:

The Betty Bitters barmaid figure exhibits a significant jagged chip with a missing ceramic section on the upper rim and spout (photos 4, 5, and 6). The remaining nine jugs appear to be in good overall condition with no other significant chips, cracks, or visible repairs. A minor white mark is present on the black hat of the Winston Churchill figure (photo 1). Light surface wear consistent with age and display is evident on the bases of all items.
