A collection of vintage style costume and silver-coloured jewellery including a thistle pendant in a Michael Spiers retailer box. The lot comprises an assortment of multi-strand pearl style necklaces, earrings, and pendants constructed from various white metals and set with black and orange cabochon stones. A thistle design pendant is housed in a black case bearing a gold printed retailer mark to the interior lid reading MICHAEL SPIERS 54 Cornwall St., Plymouth Tel 661981 Truro & Looe. The collection further includes a yellow enamelled taxi charm, a thimble with embossed decoration, and two beaded necklaces in plastic bags. One bag is marked with a white adhesive label reading 925 Made in Jaipur India with a circular logo, and the second bag is marked with a label reading FGDE72. A small red velvet case contains multiple pairs of pearl style earrings and loose components. Several items feature filigree floral designs and show varying degrees of surface tarnish.
Condition report:
Tarnish and surface oxidation are visible to the filigree floral components and various white metal surfaces (photo 2 and photo 5). The pearl style earrings in the small red velvet box exhibit visible wear to the adhesive and discolouration to the metal backings (photo 4). General surface scratches and light wear consistent with age and use are present throughout the collection. No significant damage or losses were observed from the photographs provided.
