Sold for: £9

A collection of traditional style oak and hardwood furniture and a needlepoint footstool. The lot includes a rectangular footstool featuring a dark-stained wooden frame and an inset needlepoint cushion decorated with a polychrome floral wreath design set against a navy blue ground. The collection also features a low rectangular coffee table, possibly constructed from oak, with a repeating carved foliate border to the top edge. The table is supported by cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. Resting on the coffee table is a wooden stand or magazine rack featuring shaped uprights and a central stretcher. The group is completed by a separate rectangular wooden tabletop, possibly from a nesting or drop-leaf table, displaying a rich reddish-brown finish and a prominent straight grain. The items exhibit traditional construction and joinery. This lot comprises the furniture items only; the cardboard box, Guinness coasters, and other background items shown in the images are not included.

Condition report:

The needlepoint footstool shows general dust accumulation to the textile surface and minor nicks to the wooden frame (photo 1). The coffee table exhibits surface scuffing, scratches, and white cloudy patches to the finish on the top, with dust gathered in the carved border (photos 3 and 4). The separate tabletop displays significant surface scratches, finish wear, and uneven tonal areas across the grain (photo 2). All items show signs of light wear and dust consistent with age and domestic use.
