A collection of vintage leather and leatherette camera cases and equipment including Lubitel 2 and Toshiba examples. This lot comprises an assortment of protective camera covers, accessory bags, and a box-format camera housed within a black and green plastic transport crate. The items are constructed from various materials including leather, leatherette, plastic, and metal. The grouping features a black box-style camera and multiple empty ever-ready style cases in various shades of brown and black. A black circular component is embossed with a Cyrillic mark reading ЛЮБИТЕЛЬ 2, representing the Soviet Lubitel 2 brand. Additionally, a tall black vinyl accessory case bears the printed name TOSHIBA. All of the items are empty cases designed for 35mm and medium format photographic equipment. Two white adhesive inventory labels marked J671 and J671C are present on the crate and cases.
Condition report:
The items are in used vintage condition with visible signs of age and wear. Significant surface scuffing, leather cracking, and finish loss are present on several cases, particularly the large brown leather case in the centre (photo 2). The box camera shows wear and abrasion to the external covering at the corners and edges (photo 1). Metal hardware, including buckles and snap fasteners, shows minor oxidation. All items appear dusty from storage, and the internal mechanisms or contents of the closed cases have not been tested.
