A collection of gold-plated and silver-plated commemorative medals and strikes with presentation cases. This lot comprises five commemorative items produced for the anniversaries of the First and Second World Wars. Included is a 2014 oval-shaped copper medal plated in 24 carat gold with a padprint finish, weighing 100g and measuring 85mm x 62mm, commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the D-Day landings. The obverse is inscribed 6.6.1944 D-Day and Bataille de Normandie – Operation Overlord. A large 70mm gold-plated copper strike weighing 110g marks the 1918 Armistice, featuring a colourised Union Jack background and the inscription 11th November 1918. Two 40mm diameter medals weighing 32g each are included: a gold-plated copper medal for the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and a silver-plated copper medal for the First World War Centenary. A final medal commemorating the 60th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE Day) 1945-2005 is presented in a black folder inscribed Victory in Europe 8th May. The items are accompanied by technical information cards and several certificates of authenticity including serial numbers 02096, A 00388, and 00463, some of which bear a blue crest device.

Condition report:
The medals are in proof condition as indicated on the provided technical cards. Each item appears to be well-maintained within a protective acrylic capsule, with no visible signs of surface wear, scratches, or toning to the plated finishes (photos 1, 4, 6, 8, and 10). The presentation folder and inner box lining show minimal handling wear and remain in good structural condition.
