A pair of two contemporary figurative paintings on canvas, executed in oil or acrylic. The first painting features a female figure wearing a vibrant red strapless dress, shown from a rear perspective against a textured light blue background with a linear representation of the Eiffel Tower. The second painting depicts a seated female figure with her head bowed, set against a bold red background with heavy impasto application. Both works utilise a combination of smooth blending and expressive palette knife textures. The canvases are stretched over wooden frames with corner keys and have gallery-wrapped edges. No artist signatures, maker’s marks, or labels are visible on the front or verso of either piece. Each frame is equipped with a hanging wire attached to the reverse.
Condition report:
The paintings appear to be in good overall condition. There are minor vertical pressure marks and creasing visible on the reverse of both canvases (photo 2 and photo 4). The wooden stretcher frames show light surface wear and minor discolouration (photo 2 and photo 4). No visible paint loss or surface damage is noted on the front of the works.
