A collection of seven 1992 Bandai Thunderbirds toy vehicles comprising five models of the Thunderbird 2 transport craft in varying scales, one Thunderbird 4, and one Mole vehicle. The models are constructed from green, yellow, and silver moulded plastic. The largest Thunderbird 2 model features a removable central pod and four manually retractable landing legs. The smaller craft are equipped with free-rolling plastic wheels for play. The base of the yellow Thunderbird 4 is embossed with text reading “© 1992 ITC ENT GRP LTD.”, “BANDAI 1992”, and “CHINA”. The silver Mole vehicle carries identical embossed marks to its underside reading “© 1992 ITC ENT GRP LTD.”, “BANDAI 1992”, and “CHINA”. The medium-scale Thunderbird 2 model is marked “© 1992 ITC ENT GRP LTD”, “BANDAI 1992”, and “MADE IN CHINA”. Two miniature green vehicles have bases embossed with the Japanese characters “© 東北新社” alongside the English text “BANDAI 1992” and “CHINA”.
Condition report:
The items are in played-with condition with visible paint loss and rubbing to the leading edges of the wings, tail fins, and noses across all models (photo 1). The white printed \"2\" and \"T2\" markings show significant wear and fading, particularly on the medium-scale model (photo 7). There is surface scuffing and minor scratching to the plastic bodies of the vehicles (photo 4). The central pod of the large model is present, and all mechanical landing legs and wheels appear to be functional. No original packaging is included.
