A collection of four 1:18 scale model cars including examples by Hot Wheels, Maisto and Revell. This lot comprises four vehicles constructed from die-cast metal with plastic components, each presented in its original manufacturer’s display packaging. The assortment includes a Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale finished in a red colour with a longitudinal racing stripe, housed in a box bearing the printed Hot Wheels logo and a yellow Ferrari shield. Two silver vehicles by Maisto are included: a 1992 Jaguar XJ220 and a Lexus SC 430 convertible with a cream interior, both presented in boxes marked Special Edition. The collection is completed by a dark blue BMW 850i Coupe in a box featuring the Revell Metal Master Piece printed label and the number 8808. The Ferrari box displays the printed text Challenge Stradale in script, while the Jaguar box is labelled Jaguar XJ220 1:18 and the Lexus box is labelled Lexus SC 430 1:18. The BMW packaging carries the word METAL in blue block letters. This lot comprises the model cars only; the wooden shelving and background wiring shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The red Ferrari model appears complete within its box; however, the acetate window shows significant scuffing and accumulated dust (photo 2). The silver Jaguar XJ220 has its driver-side door open within the packaging, and the box acetate features a small puncture to the top left corner (photo 3). The Lexus SC 430 box window exhibits heavy white scuffing and residue to the front left portion (photo 5). The BMW 850i box shows shelf wear including crushed corners and edges (photo 4). All boxes exhibit a general layer of storage dust.
