An assortment of contemporary decorative textiles including William Morris style tapestry panels. The collection comprises several machine-woven pieces featuring the Strawberry Thief design in two different colourways: a palette of green, yellow, and terracotta, and a light blue and grey variant. The group also includes woven mats, one featuring a geometric star and diamond motif in cream, burgundy, and navy, and another in light blue and white with a floral damask-style pattern. Further textiles include a large purple textile decorated with gold-toned damask and paisley motifs finished with a metallic-style fringe, a runner with burgundy and pink horizontal bands of stylised motifs, and a grey and gold-toned pashmina-style shawl featuring a paisley design and twisted fringe. A small blue mark is present on the corner of the blue bird tapestry panel, but the characters are not legible as a name.
Condition report:
The textiles appear to be in good and clean condition overall with no visible stains, fraying, or tears. Several items remain sealed in their original clear plastic packaging (photos 1 and 2). The woven fringes on the mats and shawls appear intact and uniform across the pieces.
