This auction ended on September 16, 2026.

Start price: £5

Estimated price: £5 - £10

Buyer's Premium: 20%

Sold for: £9

A collection of four porcelain and glass vases of varying forms and styles. The group includes a Chinese style baluster-form porcelain vase decorated in hand-painted polychrome enamels. The body features a continuous scene of four female figures in traditional attire within a garden setting, flanked by large birds with blue and yellow plumage, while the neck displays a smaller vignette of figures seated at a table. The piece is further embellished with floral sprays and scrolling ruyi-head borders at the rim and foot. The underside of the porcelain base carries a hand-painted mark in black ink, consisting of a stylised three-pronged device above a horizontal bar and a cross-like symbol. The lot further comprises three glass vases: a faceted smoked amber-coloured glass vase of compressed diamond form; a tall purple amethyst-coloured glass teardrop vase; and a flattened clear glass disc-form vase with a subtle green tint, provided with a separate white-painted cradle stand.

Condition report:

The porcelain vase appears in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs (photo 1). The faceted amber glass vase and the amethyst glass vase show no significant visible damage (photos 3 and 4). The clear glass disc-form vase exhibits internal clouding and surface residue which may require cleaning (photo 5).
