A collection of nautical style decorative home ornaments and contemporary sculptures constructed from wood, ceramic, and wire. The lot includes a painted wooden lighthouse in white and light blue, featuring rope detailing around the mid-section and a small wooden fish tag inscribed “ocean”. The lighthouse base is decorated with netting, a starfish, and small shells. A tall, slender ceramic vase is included, featuring vertical hand-painted black and off-white stripes. The group also features a model wooden sailboat mounted on a white base, with three fabric sails in blue and white stripes and string rigging. A modernist style ovoid sculpture with a central piercing is finished in a high-shine metallic bronze coloured glaze. Further items include a rectangular basket with light blue wire sides and a woven wicker base, adorned with two ceramic tiles depicting sailboats and a lifebuoy motif. Also present is a wooden boat-shaped holder with three circular recesses, a small miniature house with a red-tiled roof inscribed “BENAL MADENA” to the front, and a selection of natural seashells of various types. This lot comprises the decorative items only; the furniture, cushions, and other background interior items shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall decorative condition. The wooden lighthouse shows minor scuffing to the paintwork (photo 2). The fabric sails of the model boat show light surface dust and minor soiling (photo 3). The wire basket has small areas of paint loss and chipping on the blue frame (photo 5). The boat-shaped holder shows internal residue in the circular wells (photo 5). The abstract sculpture shows surface dust but no visible chips or cracks.
