A contemporary traditional style tapestry upholstered scroll-arm sofa. The piece is upholstered in a heavy woven tapestry-style fabric featuring vertical bands of floral and foliate motifs in a palette of terracotta red, ochre, and sage green. The construction features a fully upholstered frame with large scrolled arms and two loose seat cushions, all finished with coordinating rope-twist cord piping at the seams. The sofa is supported by four dark-stained turned wooden bun feet. The scatter-back arrangement consists of four large cushions: two match the primary floral tapestry and are finished with a tasselled fringe border, while the remaining two are upholstered in a coordinating ochre fabric with a small-scale geometric diamond pattern. No manufacturer’s or retailer’s labels are visible. This lot comprises the sofa and cushions only; the shelving, tables, and other furniture shown in the background are not included.
Condition report:
The sofa appears to be in good used condition with signs of light domestic wear. The upholstery is intact without visible tears, significant fading, or major staining (photos 1 and 2). The seat cushions retain their shape well (photo 6). Minor scuffing is present on the wooden bun feet consistent with floor-level use (photo 5). A stray pink thread is visible hanging from the lower front seam (photo 5).
