A collection of philatelic and numismatic commemorative covers and stamp sheets including James Bond and British Military History examples in a binder. The lot comprises various numismatic philatelic covers, including a James Bond first day coin cover issued by Mercury, containing a set of fourteen stamps depicting Ian Fleming book covers postmarked 8.1.08 and an inset bronze British penny. The reverse of the coin shows Britannia with the legend ONE PENNY. Also included are a series of History of the British Army commemorative covers dated 2008, each featuring themed stamps, postmarks from Armoury Road, London SE3, and inset gold-coloured medals depicting military branches such as Light Cavalry, Battle Order, Musicians, and Light Dragoons. The philatelic portion consists of multiple Military Uniforms stamp sheets from Kiribati, Tristan da Cunha, and British Indian Ocean Territory in various denominations. Furthermore, the collection includes Millennium commemorative covers from 1999 to 2000, including one featuring a bimetallic style five-pound crown by Westminster with a stated edition limit of 19,500 and another featuring a bronze Britannia penny. The items are housed in a navy blue textured binder with gold-line decorative borders. A small white rectangular adhesive label reading A670S in blue ink is affixed to the lower front corner of the binder.
Condition report:
The commemorative covers and stamp sheets appear to be in uncirculated condition, well-preserved within their respective clear presentation sleeves (photos 2-14). The navy blue binder shows minor signs of surface wear and light scuffing to the corners (photo 1). Some light handling creases are visible to the plastic protective pages (photo 12). No signs of toning or environmental damage are visible on the inset coins and medals.
