A Tyco R/C X-Treme Tony Hawk Skateboard set including an action figure and a handheld remote control with presentation case. The skateboard and internal figure are composed primarily of moulded plastic, with the figure dressed in a red synthetic fabric shirt featuring a blue Birdhouse logo. The skateboard deck is decorated with a black and white bird graphic and is marked Tony Hawk Birdhouse. The set is presented in its original retail flip-top window box with protective styrofoam inserts. The packaging and the handheld remote control, which operates on a 27 MHz frequency, bear the TYCO R/C logo and a Tony Hawk signature-style brand name. Further printed markings on the box include X-TREME TONY HAWK SKATEBOARD, MATTEL WHEELS, and information regarding the TMH FLEXPAK BATTERY PACK & CHARGER system. The rear of the cardboard box displays the web address www.tycorc.com. This lot comprises the boxed toy set only; the furniture and interior items shown in the background of the photographs are not included.
Condition report:
The internal contents, including the figure, skateboard, and remote control, appear to be in unused condition and remain factory-secured within the original styrofoam packaging (photos 2 and 4). Clear protective ties are visible holding the figure in place (photo 3). The outer cardboard presentation case shows moderate shelf wear, including visible scuffing and rounding at the corners and edges (photos 1 and 5). There is a significant area of surface paper loss on the rear of the box where a previous label or tape has been removed (photo 5). The clear plastic window remains intact with only minor surface scuffs (photo 2). The electronic and mechanical functions are untested.
