This lot comprises an assortment of decorative arts including Hancocks Ivory Ware, Liezen Austria pottery, and Philip Gardiner studio ceramics. The group features a Hancocks Ivory Ware majolica style leaf plate, hand-painted in shades of yellow, green, and brown, with a black printed circular mark to the reverse reading IVORY WARE HANCOCKS ENGLAND HAND PAINTED and a handwritten pattern number 7945. Also included is a tall drip-glaze earthenware vase impressed to the base LIEZEN AUSTRIA with the numbers 501 and 17. The collection further contains a speckled blue glaze stoneware cream jug bearing a gold foil label reading HANDTHROWN POTTERY FROM CORNWALL BY PHILIP GARDINER and a circular impressed mark to the base.

Leaded glass items in the lot include a Tiffany style hemispherical shade decorated with rose and poppy motifs in red and orange, a square tapered shade with a dragonfly design, and a rectangular panel featuring a purple rose on an orange stem with green leaves against a frosted background. The group is completed by a miniature copper coal scuttle with fixed handle, a polished cream-coloured stone egg, and a framed collection of cigarette cards including examples by Grenadier Cigarettes and W. & F. Faulkner Ltd. A label to the upper right corner identifies a portion as Nautical Terms Series 1 and 2 Circa 1900 W. D. & H. O. Wills Ltd. The items are housed in a wooden frame with a green mount, which contains one vacant slot. This lot comprises the decorative items described; no shelving or storage components shown in the background are included.

Condition report:

Extensive fine surface crazing is visible to the reverse of the leaf plate (photo 5). The Liezen Austria vase shows several glaze chips and abrasions around the lower shoulder and base (photo 10). A small irregular mark is present on the side of the studio pottery jug, appearing to be a glaze miss or minor abrasion (photo 9). The leaded glass shades and panel exhibit surface oxidation to the lead cames and solder lines (photo 6, 7, 8). The copper scuttle is heavily tarnished with significant verdigris and surface pitting throughout (photo 13). A notable chip is present at the apex of the stone egg (photo 3). The wooden cigarette card frame has minor edge scuffing, and one card slot in the mount is vacant (photo 11).
