A collection of four decorative items comprising a rectangular repoussé plaque, a circular decorated charger, a footed brass pot, and a carved wooden stirrer. The rectangular plaque is constructed from a copper-alloy and features intricate Indian style repoussé work depicting a royal or mythological procession with riders on elephants surrounded by multiple registers of figures in traditional attire. A recessed rectangular panel is visible to the left side of the central scene but contains no legible characters. The Thai style circular charger is decorated with a black ground and gilt motifs depicting royal war elephants with riders, framed by a wide border of kranok flame patterns. The brass pot features a flared rim, two small handles, and is mounted on three scrolled, leaf-form feet. The collection is completed by a slender hand-carved wooden stirrer with a shaft terminating in a stylised bud-form bowl. Several items in the group bear white adhesive labels reading S702C and the charger has a printed lot sticker reading 393. No maker’s names or manufacturer marks are legible on any of the pieces. This lot comprises the four decorative items only; the washing machine and other background surfaces shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
Significant areas of green verdigris and surface tarnish are visible across the rectangular metal plaque (photo 3). The circular charger shows fine surface scratches to the black ground and minor rubbing to the gilt decoration on the raised elephant motifs (photo 1). The footed brass pot is heavily tarnished with dark spots and surface scratches to the exterior, while the interior shows signs of significant oxidation (photo 2). The wooden stirrer exhibits minor surface wear.
