This lot comprises one lampwork floral glass paperweight with amethyst ground and controlled bubble ring. The spherical clear glass body encloses a central lampwork motif consisting of multi-petalled white flowers and textured green foliage. This floral arrangement is set directly above a deep translucent amethyst glass ground at the base of the sphere. The internal decoration is framed by a symmetrical ring of controlled air bubbles suspended within the clear glass. The piece is finished with a circular flattened base that has been polished to a smooth finish. No manufacturer’s marks, signatures, backstamps, or retailer’s labels are visible on the glass or the underside of the paperweight.
Condition report:
The paperweight is in good condition, showing no visible chips or cracks to the body. Light surface scratches and scuffing are visible on the flattened polished base, which is consistent with age and handling (photo 1).
