Sold for: £80
A collection of silver and white metal jewellery including items featuring banded fluorite in the Blue John style. The group comprises a large oval pendant and a smaller circular pendant, both bezel-set with purple and cream banded cabochon stones, alongside a square cabochon ring of similar composition. A rectangular black stone ring, possibly onyx, is stamped to the interior band with TLM STERLING ENGLAND within a rectangular cartouche. The assortment also contains a pair of oval black stone cufflinks with rope-twist borders and toggle backs. The collection is completed by two tie clips: one featuring an engine-turned textured pattern and one of wavy form. The reverse of both pendants, the banded stone ring, and the textured tie clip are all stamped SILVER. The wavy tie clip is stamped GOLD FRONT ON SILVER to the reverse. The items are housed in a burgundy textured presentation box with a velvet-effect lining.
Condition report:
The jewellery exhibits significant tarnish and patina throughout the silver settings, particularly visible on the cufflink stems (photo 6) and the interior of the rings (photo 8). The cabochon stones appear intact with light surface wear and minor scratches consistent with age, notably to the surface of the large oval pendant (photo 2). The toggle backs on the cufflinks and the clips remain functional. The presentation box shows light external wear to the edges and corners (photo 1).
