A collection of six Royal and military commemorative gold-plated and silver-plated medals and coins including examples from The Jubilee Mint. The group comprises two 24-carat gold-plated medals: one commemorating the Royal Air Force Avro Vulcan featuring a colourised reverse depiction of the aircraft in flight, and another commemorating the Royal Engagement, inscribed HRH PRINCE HENRY OF WALES and RACHEL MEGHAN MARKLE. The collection also includes four five pound coins: a 2017 Tristan da Cunha Sapphire Jubilee coin, a 2016 colourised poppy coin from The Life and Times of Her Majesty The Queen series, and two 2016 Anglia Victores 1966-2016 coins featuring a heraldic lion and shield. The items are accompanied by three certificates of authenticity from The Jubilee Mint for the Avro Vulcan medal, the Royal Engagement commemorative, and the Sapphire Jubilee coin. According to the printed specifications on the Sapphire Jubilee certificate, that coin is composed of copper plated in pure silver, with a weight of 25.00g and a diameter of 38.61mm. Each piece is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule within a black velvet-lined pouch. The obverses feature the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with Latin legends including ELIZABETH II D G REG F D.


Condition report:

The medals and coins appear to be in uncirculated, proof-like condition as issued, with high luster and no visible wear or surface marks through the protective capsules (photos 1 and 2). The black velvet pouches and accompanying certificates of authenticity are in good condition with no visible faults.
