A collection of plastic and metal scale model aircraft including British Airways and Air France examples. The group consists of multiple aircraft types including wide-body and narrow-body jets, constructed from a mix of plastic and metal components. Most models are mounted on dedicated display stands. Identifiable airline liveries include British Airways in the Landor style, Air France, Ansett Australia, LTU, DAS Air Cargo, Air Europe, Viva Air, Air Liberte, Caledonian, Alaska, British World, Paramount, and Olympic. Several display stands bear printed airline names and logos; one white rectangular stand features a red logo reading DAS AIR CARGO, while a black stand displays the British Airways name and speedwing logo in white and red. The Ansett Australia aircraft is finished in a cream and blue livery with a constellation of stars on the tail fin. The models feature various printed registrations and livery details characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century aviation. No manufacturer names are clearly legible on the models or stands.
Condition report:
A collection of aircraft in varying states of preservation. Notable yellowing and discolouration are present on the white plastic fuselages and display stands, particularly evident on the Ansett Australia and Air France models (photo 4). A loose component, appearing to be a horizontal stabiliser or winglet, is visible within the storage drawer (photo 1). The Alaska Airlines model appears to be detached from its stand or associated components (photo 6). Fading is evident on the printed text of the Air Europe stand (photo 3). Minor surface marks, scuffs, and dust are present throughout the group.
