Sold for: £8
A trio of accent rugs comprising one natural sheepskin pelt and a pair of synthetic long-pile runners. The natural sheepskin features a dense, crimped cream-coloured wool pile on a tanned leather hide backing. The underside of the hide is stamped with a black mark consisting of a diamond shape containing an uppercase letter S, flanked by the words COUNTRY to the left and LIFE to the right. A rectangular stitched patch is visible near the centre of the hide. The two faux fur rugs are designed in a double-pelt runner style with rounded ends and curved sides. These synthetic rugs feature a variegated pile with off-white bases and light brown tips, finished with visible overlock stitching to the edges. The backing of the synthetic rugs is a white fabric material.
Condition report:
The natural sheepskin rug shows areas of matting and minor discolouration to the wool pile consistent with use (photo 4). The leather backing displays typical variations in texture and colour, and a stitched repair patch is present to the centre (photo 7). The pair of faux fur rugs are in generally good condition with light surface wear; there is some separation of the synthetic fibres typical of the material and minor dust soiling to the white fabric backing from floor contact (photos 5 and 6).
