A collection of vintage and antique curios comprising various decorative and functional objects. The group includes two ceramic-topped brass double-hook coat racks, one featuring a spaniel portrait titled Breve and the other a spaniel titled Cocker nero e bianco. Also present are two ceramic plaques featuring illustrations of historic firearms, one inscribed SCOTTISH PERCUSSION PISTOL 1830 and the other ENGLISH FLINTLOCK PISTOL 1760. The assortment further includes a brass letter opener with a stag head handle, a decorative miniature dagger with a hilt marked TOLEDO on the blade, and two sets of castanets, one in natural wood and one painted red with figures. A small brass bell is inscribed Rabbit. The lot also contains a small magnifying glass, a wooden-handled tool, a brass-toned snuff box with an etched lid depicting birds, and a set of cricket-themed trade cards. Additional items include a small Esso promotional figure, a Union Jack flag on a stick, an American flag-themed button, and several small pocket knives.


Condition report:

Oxidation and tarnish are visible on the metal components, including the brass coat hooks and letter openers (photo 1). Surface wear and minor scratches are present on the ceramic finishes of the coat hooks and plaques (photo 3). The paper trade cards show signs of handling, including rounded corners and minor creasing (photo 2). The wooden castanets exhibit surface wear and minor scuffing to the painted and natural finishes (photo 2). One pocket knife shows visible rust and surface pitting to the blade (photo 3).
