A collection of assorted metalware and vintage kitchenalia, primarily of British manufacture. The lot includes a silver-plated teapot featuring a repousse floral and scroll design, fitted with a black heat-resistant handle and a matching lid finial. An oval metal serving dish with a domed lid and ring handle is present, alongside a group of pewter style items including a lidded jug with a thumb-piece, a handled tankard, and a small two-handled cup. The lot further comprises two silver-plated trays, one circular with a pierced gallery and one larger oval engraved tray, a handheld magnifying glass with a dark handle, and a small blue presentation box featuring a gold-coloured inscription reading E. R. CORONATION 1953.

The assortment also contains several boxed sets of cutlery and serving utensils. One blue box is printed with TARGET Brand SUPERIOR QUALITY STAINLESS STEEL TABLE CUTLERY Made in SHEFFIELD-ENGLAND. A brown cardboard box reads UNITY A1 SILVER PLATE ON NICKEL SILVER SHEFFIELD-ENGLAND. A further box for a cake slice is marked PMC INTERNATIONAL SHEFFIELD-ENGLAND STYLE NO. 610. Automotive memorabilia is represented by a vintage Automobile Association (AA) car bumper badge, featuring the yellow and black AA logo under an eagle finial, stamped to the lower edge with the serial number 363361.


Condition report:

The silver-plated teapot and trays show surface tarnishing and visible wear to the plating, with areas of base metal bleeding (photo 1). The pewter style items exhibit a dark matte patina and minor surface scuffs (photo 3). The AA bumper badge shows significant crazing and discoloration to the yellow backing insert (photo 1). Cardboard packaging for the cutlery and utensils exhibits typical shelf wear, including scuffing and minor tearing at the corners (photo 2). The magnifying glass and other loose utensils show light age-related surface wear.
